We all kind of anticipated that Halloween trick or treating in 2020 would be different this year. Because the virus can be found anywhere, knocking on doors and picking out sweets from a bowl where many have already done the same, is not in line with general hygiene advice.
I have been reading up on Halloween ideas and how we can still dress up and enjoy having the all important sweets. I have found 3 Halloween ideas that seem fun and sociable but not so sociable way.
One house, many rooms
One way is to dress up a few rooms and have Halloween games in each room. Each Halloween game has their own sweets to be won.
Another is to follow a Pumpkin trail. This option most resembles trick or treating. After dark, go for a walk in your local area and each time your child(ren) see a pumpkin at a door or a pumpkin picture in the window, you give them a sweet.
Alternatively, you can go Ghosting. The Halloween idea is to make a Halloween themed cupcake or cake and leave it on a friends doorstep. They will be pleased to receive something and make them feel loved.
And yes! You can still dress up with any option you go with. Dressing up is the fun part. It is where you plan, source and actually get to put it all together. The usual theme is of ghostly figures but why not make it fun and do something different.
You can dress up as a Roman Ligonier, a Pirate, a Knight or even a Viking. Feel the part of a swashbuckling hero and enjoy the freedom of your imagination.
You can find many different accessories but why not try out a wooden axe or Viking shield from our website. We have a range of cool wooden weapons for every costume, from Dragonfire shields to Templar shields, rifles and crossbows. They are all made from natural wood and are definitely a kids toy.
